I found a CAD programme and I've been working on a brake with a 5mm stack height... thats lower than most frames mounts... but I also drew up a new stem... Works out about $200 dollars to get one made... bargain!

Went down to London yesterday for "work", spent a good while walking around, saw some sweet Levis, and some trainers but nothing more...

We had a really good BeerMX session and food fight on Sunday, in three different Publics. no one did anything of note, apart from buy me beer, which was nice...

Update on Paulie...

Guys, Paulie just dropped me a line, he said him and Dale have had a ace weekend, rocking hard with the LDN massive. He said they went out and bumped into Nigel Benn and a few of his guys. Nigel B is apparently putting a new album together and wants Paulie to MC on one of the tracks. Paulie is sending me over a snippet to whet your appetites... stay tuned.

Hey guys, my good buddy Dale Winton is down, he's been in the area because he's in talks with ITV about a new series of Supermarket Sweep. That shit was off the hook the first time round, so into the new millenium it's gonna be WILD.

Any how I know Dale from years back, when he used to race. I tell you, this guy had a mean gate start, and was usually well ahead round the first corner. I'm sure he had a few signature parts out on AS Racing. Here's a pic of Dale when he rode for mongoose. I still can't believe they fucked him over like that.



Anyways, Dale's down for the weekend, we gonna be gettin' loose in Soho tonight and probably gonna roll it through to Saturday. Hopefully it'll be as good as last time we hit it up in London... long story...

Paul on Mirra

Paul sent me this on the email, he apologises for looking a little fuzzy, he had a night out on the town last night.

" I got a lot of respect for Mirra, He's a sound guy, I remember when he was at college, and him and his housemates used to throw these huge parties, it was pretty sick, girls, motorbikes, bands all that shit. They used to get bust by the cops everytime. I remember this one time, a cop rolled in the front door, and Mirra was wasted man. The cop is all like,

" Guys, we have got a few complaints of loud noise coming from here, and we need you guys to turn the music down and break it up."

Mirra was all like, looking at this cop in the eyes and swaying from side to side, he just put his hand on the cops shoulder and says,

"Dude, you gotta chill the fuck out, have a beer..."

As he stuffs a $100 bill in the cops breast pocket and points towards a fridge full of Budweiser, Mirra just turns round and starts making out with this hot chick in denim hot pants. The cop just kinda stands there and shrugs his shoulders. I think I walked past the cop about three hours later, he was balls deep in some Mexican chick on the sofa.

Anyway Mirra is dope on a bike, I just wish he'd come ride street sometime. I know that Gold bike is a bit of a fuckin' liability, but what the fuck, Mirra can hold his own. I ain't so sure why they call him "Miracle Boy" though, it's not like he can lick his balls or nothing.

Things I will be inclined to buy.

"Well this website has been up for a while with pegs listed under the product section, and this is what we have been working on all that time.

As some people may already know, I have been running "plastic" pegs on my own bike for about the last 6 years now, ever since I put a steel peg through the side of my hand and had to have an operation to fix it.

Plastic pegs have a lot of advantages, they slide faster than steel, titanium or aluminium on any surface. They dont damage coping (so they should help bikers get access to some parks). They are less likely to kill you if they hit you in the back of the head. And of course they are massively lighter.

The Pleg uses a special steel insert that reinforces the end of the Pleg and provides a solid engagement on the dropout, and a replaceable "plastic" sleeve that is cheap and simple to change.

Weight is around 4ounces (112g) per peg, which is about half the weight of a typical steel peg and lighter than most titanium pegs too.

Plegs are the standard 4 inch (100mm) length but are slightly fatter than normal pegs at 42mm (a typical steel peg is 38mm). This extra thickness covers more of the dropout so you ONLY grind Pleg not frame, and helps the pleg get over skate stoppers ....
That's right, we can actually grind skate-stoppered aluminium rails... and since they wont cause any real damage you dont even need to feel guilty about it.

With Plegs you can look at your streets in a whole new way. Rough concrete ledges, aluminium rails, rails with skate stoppers, wood, pretty much anything is now ridable.

So to the obvious question. Wear.
Yes, Plegs do wear out quicker than steel pegs, but who wants to cart around half a pound of steel you will never use? With normal use a set of Plegs will last a good year or more and when the sleeves get really heavily worn you can simply replace them.

Hopefully these will be available in early 2007.
